Inspiron 8000 and Call of Duty

Thread Starter
It hurt to delete my desktop specs... Alas, I picked up a dell laptop for next to nothing and I'm trying to get Call of Duty (first one) to run on it. The only issue (i hope) is that the M4 Mobility 128 doesn't support T&L (and COD requires it). Is there any way I can mod the G-card to support COD or must I find another card that does? And does one exist, for that matter...

The drivers that dell supplies for the card are way back in Nov of 02....

32meg card BTW

I dont believe that your request is possible. If the Hardware doesnt support a feature I dont believe you can trick it into doing it. Generally you can make the hardware preform better than it does at stock but if you the chipset cant do T&L you cant add the feature to it or simulate it I believe. You might wanna check some CoD forums though they might have a patch that downgrades the game so that it will function with your hardware. City of Heros did that for people who had raedon 7000 mobility cards by releasing a patch that made one of the Hardware features optional.
