Cannot overclock anymore :o

Thread Starter
When i put my fsb on 230 or something, he boots, at 3.0 ghz ... default clockspeed, then I reboot, look in bios, and the "user controlled fsb" is set on disabled, I even tried 201 and he still puts the user controlled fsb on disabled. I reset my bios to default. And tried again, but didn't work. Why can't I overclock anymore?

What were your previous overclock settings? Speed, vcore, vdimm, vagp, timings etc?

You say that you have done a BIOS update. Have you tried downgrading your BIOS to the previously held one? I assume you set all your CMOS settings to default before flashing the BIOS?

I had it before the update, then it just stopped I guess, now i have it again... it's very weird cause I did a witchunt in my bios to find that stupid setting, and didn't find anything that could disable overclocking ...

I wonder about the BIOS update as there have been many instances of i915 chipsets disallowing overclocking.

I would flash back to the previous BIOS just to see. You did save your previous BIOS?
