Yeah. LN2 and Phase.
Dothan only excels at 3DMark01Se.
SuperPI: Dothan @ 4.0ghz and P4 @ 7.0ghz
, both equal 18.xxx secs. yet on LN2 and Phase-change. I guess it's safe to say that either is equally inaccessible for most of us.
So a Dothan is a good desktop build huh? I didn't know that. I bet the Yohan will smoke it!
Dothan is not a good desktop CPU, it's hard to overclock on pure air and have to be real careful not to damage the CT-479 adapter. It's only good for SuperPI and 3DMark01SE, other than that, a P4 @ 4.2ghz can keep up with a Dothan @ 2.6-to-2.7ghz on those areas, but the rest of programs? it's laughable.
Yonah in the other hand, would be a killer of a Desktop CPU, except CONROE is what'll be better than Yonah and that, we will see in the desktop platform.
Either way, I'm getting me a 960 first, before any Conroe.
