i have an sony vaio desktop but the mobois hard to find i duuno i know its an D915GRO but i can tfind no uupdates anyware. hers the model number oh and i want to know what ram to use on this since i'vd looked around but found nothing on this please help

Google "CPU-Z" and downlaod it, it will tell you what ur mobo is.

Have you opened the case?

Most likely you'll have only two dimms which means, if you have 512mb of RAM, those 512 are two 256.

If you have 4 dimms, then all you have to do is open case, pull one of the modules out and look at it, usually it tells you what speed it is. If not, sell the 512 and buy a 1GB kit of DDR2 533. The 915 chipset only supports upto that.

Although it may have DDR, in that case fallow the same instructions as above.

Another way to check up on some of your components in your system is using: CPU-Z, it will tell you what speed is the RAM at and CPU's fsb.

Also go to Intel.com for the latest chispet drivers for your motherboard.
