Computer Outside

Thread Starter
i wanna setup my computer outside tomorrow morning when its nice and cold, i was hoping for a -30 or -40 day to setup the computer, but i guess thats the best i can do

http://theweathernetwork.ca/weather/...s/CAON0507.htm
there is a link to the forecast tomorrow, maybe the pressure and humidity might have something to do with condensation???

i don't wanna overclock like mad to have water building up on my parts!

the biggest condensation problem will occur when you transition it from inside to outside, or outside to inside.

well winter air is fairly dry, personally i don't think anything would happen. but just in case i'll bring it inside and put the hairdryer to it...

my hairdryer gets REALLY hot so it would be good, just as long as it doesen't short out i'd be fine....

actually thinking of it. nothing would happen, just keep the case open and it would evaporate off the side and the droplets would be small enough to not short out...

i'm quite sure nothing would happen...or i can set it up in a room with the window open.

damn. more feedback! i think there would only be condensation when i bring it inside my house

Dont try your luck, the windows idea is better, but the best would be to duct a fan in front of the windows to your case, so your case gets 100% of the air, or just have a VERY cold room.

Remeber, cold fall, hot rises....

i did this with my freind 2 night ago, and you best bet is to put it againt a window with the side of the case opened. We got 10c for the cpu , 1c for the inside of the computer ...lol...and 31c for te hard drive.. before it has like 42c-36c-51c. And it was all free

Winter air is dry... you don't use a dehumidifier in the winter do you?
