I just noticed that you are from the Phillipines, that is pretty cool, did you mean the computers aren't up 2 date near where you live or in the entire country? cuz those shipping costs must be a kiler if you have to order from elsewhere

I live in one of the bigger cities in the Phils.(relatively speaking) Lots of Internet Cafes. PCs mostly range from P4 2GHz or XP2000. There are people with very powerful pcs(Not FXs or EEs, but Dual Cores or Powerful single cores) but they are very few and far between. Like its very hard to find 2 people in a 5 kilometer radius with a similar set-up to ours. Reason: 1) Third World 2) Can't order from the net 3)Local pricing is competetive until you decide to buy the premium parts. The other X2's I know run theirs on NForce4s but my research on the net led me to forums like this which made me buy the Asrock Dual Sata. Felt risky at first but right now Im actually very contented. Very stable and saved me a lot of money. While the NF4s would have forced me to go pciex, this mobo has allowed me to save some money by letting me use my 7800GS. That's freedom and choice that I like.

I see, I honestly don't know how many people around my area have good pcs, meaning athlon 64s or better...and then how many of those people actually build and upgrade, most people aren't very smart, they pay 2000-3000 on a dell, some would go for the $400 low end pcs with no upgrade capability and maybe $700 best buy pcs...which still have athlon 64s but their video cards are all onboard...

I did end up doing the same thing with the motherboard, I chose this board to use my 6800GT, and later get a DX10 card, I like the way it starts up, no time wasting like my Gigabyte board, it just detects everything fast and goes straight to windows, very nice time saver, especially since its freezing so much right now haha. I am still awaiting my PSU...

Your 6800GT will take you all the way to the end of DX9 life. Wise Decision to wait for DX10 for the graphics card upgrade. I was forced to buy the 7800GS when it came out only becuase I was coming from a radeon 9600XT PE. Had to see some SM3 and HDR action.
My Asrock Dual Sata 2 n X2 are not even a month old but I'm already very impressed by the power handling by the board. Speedfan voltages are much more stable here than with my old MSI NForce2 Ultra(Using the same PSU). 12V rail is steady at 12.24V while it was only at 11.86 on my old mobo. All these including the fact that my X2 is sucking more juice than my oc'd barton(2.3GHz AthlonXP).

I didn't know it was called 9600XT PE, thought only x800xt and x850 xt had platinum editions..but ya HDR is important haha

Yep. HIS Excalibur 9600XT PE 526vpu/650mem. Loved that card. Somebody bought it and so came my opportunity for the upgrade. I am a low res. gamer. Sweet spot is at 1024x768 with a touch of either HDR or FSAA.
Another thing I like about this my mobo is the cool chipset. I have a crossflowfan blowing at it anyway but it seems its a lot cooler than its nforce counterparts

Alright.. I am having a problem with my SATAII. It works fine when I plug it into the SATAI port, but Windows will not recoqnize it when I plug it into the SATAII port. I have done the driver thing and it is still won't work. It shows up in my bios when it is plugged into the SATAII port. Is there something in the bios or a jumper on the board I have to change? I am currently running on SATAI but I have a SATAII drive and would like to use it as such.

Hey, i haven't had this board very long and i use SATA I, but in the BIOS, but i know u just hit right arrow once and then under that menu you can select one that lets you choose your primary adapter...also make sure jumpers are in the right place on your hard drive...sorry my explaination is difficult to understand, I don't remember the names i just mess with stuff haha
