I forgot to mention that i had my ASYNC on for pci but I still think that it was the oc on the card itself in conjuntion with "PREY". my card just didn't like it. at least it had a nice high pitched squeel to let me know it was dead. ha ha. will pick up an x1900xt within the next 2weeks after my project is complete. getting some serious ot. then i can get back to my new board and see how the system handls stock before oc.....

there is another way, if you are to worried about the iron, you can get silver apoxy. it is not cheap, $30-50 for a syringe, but no heat..... I only use it for subwoofer repair, I am not ready to try vmods yet, still a noob at oc for my new system..... here is just one place you can get it....http://www.2spi.com/catalog/spec_prep/cond_adhes2.shtml

Yeah, Duke. Asus sold the whole Uli devision to Nvidia.

mrjminer, they just bought the Uli chipset is true. I was getting a little ahead of myself with my last statement. It appears Nvidia were looking for a 'cheap' chipset to compete better with Ati based boards.

Hahahaha! That's some expensive humor you have You are right. I may have to watch-out myself on my oc'd vcard when I play Prey.

Wow! That's a serious videocard you are getting, Dude. Hey, keep us posted with your 3dmarks as soon as you get it.

No Prob...

I have another question, can a 20+4 pin connector be used on the 20 pin of this board? I see that there is a hold down on one side but not sure about the other side. are the wires the same in the 20pin connector as the "20" of the 20+4pin? I am going to need a new psu to run the new vcard and hdd i am going to get, my old one will not cut it.....the connector type is limiting my selection.

Absolutely Dude,

You can actually pull aside the extra 4pins on the 24pin socket so that you have exactly 20pins left to plug into the 20pin socket on the mobo. Have had plenty of experience in that department.

Will be doing the voltmod tomorrow by soldering iron. A few prayers would be appreciated. Hehehe
