PCI-e is a format, just like AGP. Obviously an AGP card will not fit into a pci-e
slot and vice versa. But any pci-e card should fit into that slot. I am not aware of any variations (unlike agp), but just check with the manufacturer or store before you buy.

Let me know what you decide.

Ok Tolak68, but it will be a while till I have the money to buy a DX10 card. But I would like to be running a DX10 card on the same board in less than a year's time and see how it handles. Maybe you will buy ahead of me so if you do, keep us updated

Hey guys, Ive been lurking on this thread for a few days now and need some answers.

I've decided to get this board as a budget solution for my inevitable agp to pci-e changeover. So far I like what I'm hearing about it, I'm just curious if this MOBO can run an opteron 170 without a problem? otherwise I'll slap a 4400+ or 4600+ in it.
Any answer would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Hey all! This is my 1st post here.

I know this thread is prolly ancient but I have this mobo, and my CPU as below, the same combo as the guy posting above (cant remember handle atm sorry!)

I want to get a bit more juice outa my CPU cause i do... And it runs on quite a low temp atm.

What version of BIOS is best? Been reading that 1.90 is the best... And yer, has anyone got some decent settings or a starting point for me?

Thanks all!

Ace

I'm using stock bios version 2.1. Have OC'd my X2 to 2.6GHz with no problem. Wish you the same luck too

In the BIOS itself or somewhere in the forums? I will check the forum now.
