anyone know is there a modded bios which don't have the 274 htt cap and supports dual core opty?

asrock dual sata2 supports DC from the bios version 1.4, and only OCW modded bios#1 and #2 have no caps on htt, so those were built from bios version before 1.4...

Even though the Opteron line was not officially supported by the ASRock bios 1.1 through 1.3 I had great success with bios 1.2 and the modded bios from OCW without the HTT lock that did not officially support. It seems that the ASRock motherboards are not too picky when it comes to bios supporting. Just back up your bios that officially supports it, and if you have stability issues you can flash back.

yeah there is but they arent 100% stable i would only use them for overclocking and bench marking :] check out my first page theres a link to hte bioses try ocwbeta 1 its prob the best on to use out of them :] i got to 313 with it

also we side note when reaching higher ht for some reason the pc dosnt boot when u press save so restart so switch of at the wall and start it up and it should work

Hey

I have a ASRock Dual Sata2. Just upgraded my processor to the 4400 X2 and noticed that in my bios my v.core won't go above 1.40, is this normal?? But I can now have a higher multi, max of 11 now.

I think the 1.4V is normal, cause thats how high mine goes, so, I did the Vcore mod, so I can get 1.5V, I think that's the only option with this board.

well me being the asrock owner i would say the asrock for sevral reasons

1 cheap
2 supports pci-e and 8x agp
3 will support am2 sockets with a daughter board
4 is great at overclocking for the money

any questions about it just ask i have had my 3200+ /64 2.0ghz at 2.5ghz no bother just a vmod and a new bios sounds alot but its not realy the board keeps u content with so many things to try out go for it u wont be dissaponited not unless ure wanting to get 1.55^ and 3.0v ^ for the vcore and vdim.

well the max core is 1.45v not unless there is a newer version of the board ??? and the vmod gives 1.55v and even slightly higher in my case :}
