When you tighten memory timings on ram can you risk damaging the ram or will it just give you errors?

It'll just give you errors. Usually you can remedy the errors with more voltage. However, adding voltage can damage the ICs.

Just errors. The only thing that'll damage the ram is too much voltage. Good luck!
