Looking fo ra few ideas, suggestions

Thread Starter
Hello new to this forums, posted a few times in the AMD one. IM currently running at 2.75 OCed on my 3500+ Manchester at 1.4v. Load temps are about 41 and full load 43 max. I know this is a good range, Ive gotten it up to 2.9g stable but hot. I havent oced the ram much it is stable at 235 though. My biggest porb is that I want to OC the ram and GPU but I knwo I dont have a smart cooling set up. Basically 2 80mm fans blowing into the PC but no real exhaust or cooling for the rAM and GPU. Im looking for a bit of a general rule on where the fans would be better suited or the direction they need to be. I odnt have a digital cam cut ill post a link to my case to give you an idea of what Im working with. THanks for reading

Dude you have room on the back of the case to put a 120mm fan...that is where the exhaust is, the other 80mm fan on the window is drawing in air and the top 80mm is blowing out air, but if you wanted, you could reverse the top fan for blowing in air and let a good 120mm fan remove the heat...

Your GPU has a good enough cooler, just download coolbits or some modded drivers and read the FAQ in my sig on how to overclock your card.

Well you need to add the 120mm fan in the back and add one to the bottom front. This will greatly improve your air flow. One in the fron tis intake and the one in the back is exhaust. The side case fan should be blowing in as well. Then you need to get rid of that stock cooling and get a real HSF. The Big Typhoon is good as well as the Zalman HSFs. You most likely will not need to change the HSF on the GPU but if you do go with the Zalman or Artic Cooling. RAM does not require anymore cooling than what the heat spreads already disapate. Hope this helps and welcome to the forums.

generally, the front bottom and side is used for intake, then the top back and the top of the case are for exhaust... and if you dont have an exhaust right now.... i strongly suggest buying a high flow exhasut and movet he 2 80mm fans as intakes....
