It really shouldn't, as the 5970 is running on 3200 stream processors vs the 2400 of 3 5770s. If it would support tri-fire, it certainly would fully support the 5970, so I'm hard-pressed to believe that without a source

However, for every game that tri-fire does produce additional frames (Far Cry 2 I think?), 100 more experience reduced performance If you're buying 3 5770s for tri-fire, you're one weird cookie (general you, not you specifically)

Almost all reviews for the 5770s in crossfire were showing that they were getting around 130-35fps max in CODMW2. In my testing, I was only getting around 80-91fps max. I disabled CrossFire and was still getting the same. What's the deal. The hardware in my sig should plenty. Right?

The problem is that you're not using the right 5770's. You need yourself 2 VAPOR-X's ! ^_^

Haha, very funny. I almost got a pair those. I had HIS previously and loved it so I figured I wouldn't have any problem.

Nice system name and quote in your signature by the way. Both amazing story tellers.

A lot. This is actually a toned down version of a previous ATX build. I have used over 10 5700 and 5800 series cards including crossfire 5850s. My previous build would have made you crap your pants. The i7 is a high-value processor given its processing power btw. It's not always about the straight-up price itself, but also the bang-for-your-buck.

Side-note, I've gone through so many GPUs it would make your head spin. Benching two GT 240s now.

staryoshi, have you finished all tests and reviews with these cards yet? I'm on the verge of exchanging these for the Hawks. Is there still hope?
