Thanks for the vote!

I'm in the process of finding a better place to host my images.
My server works, but I contacted the company that hosts it and they only provide a 2meg connection.
...Which is silly and annoying, so I'm moving my pics to a new server.

Thanks! yeah, I was impressed with the result.
Tbh, I wasn't sure how well the paint would work, but I was pleasantly surprised.
It was very interesting that the plastic paint worked the best.
Makes sense if you think about it.
I figure it adheres better to the acrylic and therefore makes a smoother surface.

Thanks for the kind words. I've already watched a few movies on it and it works perfectly. It actually has some OC headroom so I'm anxious to give that a try.

It doesn't collect too much dust unless I move it around a bunch. I also keep a swiffer-duster handy at all times(best things for dusting monitors and other smooth things you need to keep dust free).

Pics have been moved. We'll see if google decides to cut me off.

I'm using Picasa to host them now. They seem to be loading much faster. Let me know if you have any issues.

Great build for a first! One of the better efforts in the category for sure and a scratch build to boot, hehe! You are not suppose to start making scratches until you thoroughly dominate case modding (or is the usual pathway) but that just means that you are way ahead of the pack and this means that you will be bumped into the next level, with me next year. Welcome!
Thanks for acting fast on the pics, it shows that you are meticulous and ambitious, great traits to become a pro level modder someday soon. You might give Photobucket a spin, I use it and am about to finish off my free cuota but a lot of experienced modders use the service-it is really advance and has a pretty good photo editor too.

You sort of remind me of a fellow modder in Waterloo, scrappy and very daring. We trade places winning and loosing in contests, hehe. Keep up the good work and remember that the sky is the limit, on your next project!

Cheers and Saludos

Haha, not my first effort. My first however, in competition(sig link to my first build).
I couldn't believe I missed the start of the Mod competition last year, so I made sure I wasn't going to miss this one too.
I really like scratch builds. You get to plan everything yourself. Layout, airflow(a big focus on this build), function and aesthetics.
I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I like having complete control over my builds.
Although I do have an authentic old ammo box that is calling me... as well as some other ideas kicking around in the back of my mind.

Yeah, I was very disappointed that my server host provides such slow access to files.
The thing they advertise is unlimited bandwidth, but unfortunately they only provide 2mb/s connections. Even so, it racked up about 5GB of uploads between the time the log went live and before I changed the host.
I'm hoping picasa will handle it for now, I might have to upgrade or something but they seemed to have the cheapest upgrade path of all the services I've looked at(flickr is silly expensive ).

I edit all my photos before I upload them, and I hate services that will resize or store the photos differently than I saved them originally(main reason I tried my own server first).

I'm always up for a challenge, and I love trying new things, the paint was the part that was the most sketchy(but saved me a ton of money).
I was super impressed with how well it worked out(almost exactly how I was hoping it would).

Cheers,
~Sparhawk

Familiar in so many ways! Love the work mate, great acrylic skills

Almost finished my build, happy with the hardware too but I'm still trying to sort out 1080p playback. Seems to work in media centre classic but I need to get XBMC to play videos through it.

Also happened to notice that you live in calgary - although a brit, I spent a year in banff, im sure you know it. Must be the stampede again soon right?

Yeah, I would only use MCC to play HD content because you can choose how it renders content. Haven't tried many other programs. I'm using PowerDVD for blu-ray playback. You might want to try overclocking the chip a little and see if that helps at all.

Yeah, the Stampede is later this year, starts this coming weekend. Always lots to do in Calgary during Stampede, although I'll probably spend most of my time lounging about and letting my fractured metatarsus heal.
