Everytime I think I have a plan I do something different LOL. But right now I am waiting on some black gluesticks to fill in the fan port. I fiddled with the idea of leds, but decided not to, as I didnt want the back of the case glowing through to the front.

If you dont have any tools, its super pricey. But you could always start small and use the components you have right now. As for a case. My case to start this project was $35 with free shipping on sale.

I did, I also sanded the led flat and sanded the sides of the led to diffuse the color. An led most of the time has a very narrow viewing angle, meaning all the light is pointed straight up, by sanding it it force the light to move around and it worked best that way inside of the acrylic. I also used hot glue to keep it in place.

But yea it would be nice to have images.

This one was my favorite out of the pics I took.

Very slick.

Just do like me use the tools you have that totally aren't for the purpose.

Like hacksawing acrylic, only takes like 2 hours. Dremel is not much better if you like your arm hair as it throws melty chunks of plastic at you.

That's probably one of the best investments i ever made tho $50 Dremel. Does just about everything you could think of needing in a tool.

Oh i guess you said hardware and not tools.... gotta show that old stuff respect lol. Old stuff is the best to mod tho no warranty!

I tell ya what, Ive done some crazy things to get to the same end product. But there is definatly something to be said about having the right tool for the job.
