I think from a buisness perspective then the 1090t is going to be a better choice as you are very unlikely to get a very bad overclocker. Much less margin for error with the i7's as it is a complete lottery.

That's part of the usefulness though. If chips are always decent for OC, there's no reason to pre-test

The locked multi i7 and Thubans are the ones to pre-test, the BE Thuban and Extreme Intel chips all have unlocked multis, which makes them super-easy to clock up. It's finding the good clockers in the cheaper chips that is the hard work.
