x850 PRO Stock Temperature

Thread Starter
I flashed my X850 Pro with teh X850 XL rom. Idle temp is 38-41 C and while gaming it goes up to 70 C. The core's at 540 and the mem's at 590. I have the fan going at 100% using ATi Tool. Are these numbers safe or should I put the stock setting of 500 500? Thanks!

70c Is pushing it. I would back it off a little, try to keep it at under 60c if possible.

Your temps are on the hot side, but your card has thermal throttling which will shut the card down if too hot. Might be a good idea to invest in some aftermarket cooling though, like the Zalman vf-700cu.

70C is fine for a video card, and thats actually a good temp for an X850 XT Platinum edition speeds on the X850 Pro single slot cooler.
