Need help finding the best Micro ATX mobo for under a hundred dollars. Its not for me, its for a friend and he is set on no more than the alloted budget. He has a socket 939 AMD 3700+ CPU, 2 GB Corsair XMS Twinx memory (4 X 512 MB ), Sound Blaster Audigy 4 sound card, and is going to use this graphics card. PCI-e. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...699665&CatId=0
Remember the budget and it has to be micro ATX. Thanks guys.

That Asus VM-CSM mobo has virtually no oc'ing options and has been known to have more problems than other Asus mobos, usually a great brand. That Biostar mobo mentioned does indeed oc very well, don't know too much about it though.

I would personally recommend an MSI board, such as that K8NGM2-FID? one or the K8NGM2-L. They are virtually the same, with the FID sporting a little better onboard graphics, not that your friend would be using them anyway. Also the FID mobo from MSI has a couple more features than the K8NGM2-L, but most users wouldn't notice the difference. The FID one is roughly $80usd while the K8NGM2-L is roughly $60usd.

Both of the MSI mobos I mentioned above are known to be decent overclocking boards, but not great. If your friend wants great overclocking with his mobo, the Biostar would be a decent choice. Good luck on whatever the choice is.

The Biostar is a great board. My cousin has been using it for a little while and has had no problem at all. It has plenty of overclocking options and is quite stable.
