No i won`t do that mod.
Everything is working fine now i just hit 1.41v gpu and 1.7v mem 1050/1300 temp 53.
Completed 3dmark vantage and unigine whitout a problem.
Before it would crash.
BTW i have posted the pictures and mod.

Whoa.

I might try this when games screw me too much (Hey Crysis 2, why are you lookin' at me in that way? o.O).

Glad there is a factible way to vMod non reference HD5870s... Cos this stock HSF has a hell lot of cooling potential... keeps my card down to 61ºC @stock O.O
Will last until 2015!

Problem is now that i test succesfully for 2 days, but when i go gaming i still have sometimes a black screen of death.
Still i can play the whole day with just one BOD.
The values have to be pritty precisely before you get is stable.

I have a gv-r587ud-1gd
It has almost the same PCB layout as the ones in this thread and the same Voltage controller uP6213 but the pencil mod did not change the resistance of the FB pin to ground nor change the voltage(I assume im reading from the correct point(coil leg next to caps second one in 1st one is mem)) Below are some photos of my PCB.Please Help

Well I spilled a lil beer on it while it was running and it still works figured why not!!!!!
Modded the HSF and got great temps at 880MHz 61deg in furmark too time for 1GHz GPU
