i want to see more conroe benchies. the only one out now (the FEAR demo), is single threaded, and doesnt use the potential of the fx60.

it doesnt use the potential of Conroe either.....And Enterprise, in those benchmarks they were comparing it to an FX60 OCed to 2.8 (basically an FX62)!

I know some of these benchmarks have been disputed, but I doubt Intel would lie about them - well, perhaps exaggerate a small amount, but still. So Im expecting Conroe to be an absolute powerhouse. Lets hope for a April/May release on this one.

The AMD Jihad has triumph once more:

Closed Thread and another Closed Thread.

How pathetic is that?

Geeshhh! I never knew that one can only luv so much a produt to disbelief.

Jihadddd.........

Pentium D 950, 40% slower than a Conroe? Crap, how close would the gap be if that 950 were to be OC'd to 5.1ghz (300x17)? BTW, I don't care that much about my Energy bill, it's deducted every month from my checking account, so I don't even look at it, my wife does, she's never said anything, so screw electricity.

I still have this ASUS 955X, so for one last round at ultra high-clocks, I'm going for a 960 and clock it to (300x18) 5.40ghz and let it run till it dies......probably never and for an Xmas gift? A Conroe set up. Nuff said.

P.S.

Now, how long before this one is locked?

Yes, the other closed threads rather irritated me. I was at school all day and had no chance to comment on either.

When threads degenerate into anger/hatespeak then I believe the staff are not doing their job if they do not keep the forum moderate.

There is a reason for the terms Administrator/Moderator/Director.

To Administrate: To direct, supervise or otherwise manage

To Moderate: To preside over and lessen the violence, severity, or extremeness of that being watched.

To Direct: A choosing to control or govern

The staff have been chosen for their moderate methods and to direct the posting towards an administratively approved moderation. The two threads mentioned were already degenerated to anger/hatespeak imo and deserved to be acted on by the above definitions. This however, is just my opinion.
