AVG or AVANT Anti-Virus

Thread Starter
I've used McAfee and Norton and was very dissapointed with the the extra fees to upgrade for so called adequite protection. Not to mention the resources they required to operate. The functionality was terrible with both of these ant-virus software companies, (my opinion).

So, I went with a one year deal with C.A.(Computer Associates) i.e, EZ-Armor-Virus-Firewall etc... and there products and service have been acceptable for the most part, but it's time to re-purchase or move on to another Anti-Virus software co.

If you have used AVG or AVANT Anti-Virus would you please let me know of any issues that would help me decide which one of these FREE services to consider.
Thanks,
Oknilp.

I have used AVG for a long time now and it has worked great all along. I've never really had any problems with it so far. Never tried AVANT but I will have to download it someday and compare the two.

My vote goes to AVG

(Thanks gentlemen, your feedback was greatly appreciated.)

When I posted this thread earlier, no sooner did I "HIT" submit and I became pre-disposed and unable to coorespond in real time. Fortunutely for me the posts ran simular to a voting thread considering that it's, (Nine hours latter), since I ask about AVG. Thanks again for the advice,
Oknilp. 6 out of 6 for { AVG } GOOD DEAL!
