Yeah, if you haven't already gotten the other one, get Avast! Antivirus.

Ive been using NOD32 as an anti virus (very good and low on resources from what i can tell) and Outpost as a firewall (not quite as good as ZoneAlarm but its becoming much better and is "all the rage" in Europe.)

http://www.nod32.com/home/home.htm
http://www.agnitum.com/products/outpost/

i . . . um . . . aquired the full versions but the free ones are just as good w/ less features

I dd a test where I put a few viruses on my computer, than ran Norton, AVG, Avast, McAfee, and TrendMicro, and AVG found the 3 viruses best. Norton finaly found the third, but it took 2 passes, and none of the others found it at all. I'll try to find out what I used.
I vote AVG for AV, and I've never had a problem with Windows Firewall.

anyways, i've been using AVG anti virus for years now and havent got any problem with it until recently when my auntie's computer(pentium D) got infected by viruses and avg wasnt able to detect it! i was shocked since i've been using it for years and this is the first time i've encountered this.. when i installed PANDA AV to her computer the AV detected lots of viruses! PANDA is a great AV but its too secure that it wont let u use internet explorer to surf any sites.. or it wont even let u use yahoo messenger anymore.. hehehe..

>> AVG is good but with the thing i encountered lately, got a little disappointed with it!
>> AVAST AV = the good thing about this is this is also free like avg and based on my friend this AV is great.. so ryt now im DLing it... try if its good. hehehe.

AVGFree
Zonealarm
AdAware
Windows Defender
I use AVG free at the moment.

However, currently ...obtaining Avast and Outpost, gonna see how these compare together vs. AVg and Windows Firewall.

1 and a half actually

anyways, while I'm here... I use Avast because well... it was the only really compatible one with XP x64 when I used it, now I use Vista x64 and it has never left my system. Though I've never gotten a virus, if you know what's on your system and what you do... you can pretty much prevent yourself from getting viruses
