Ahh Oliver, my type of modder! Do you think we should keep pushing the envelope on mods here? I think so because it would good for the aesthetic modding community here to see other geometric case forms. Hot performance hardware doesn't just work in something square you know. It is the EASIEST to install stuff in but not the most challenging and the challenge is what mods are about IMHO. A penny for you thoughts!

Cheers and Saludos

P.D. The continuation via PM, pls. piece together.

Muito Obrigado Ulver for looking. Have I seen you somewhere, maybe commenting in a contest? I think last year. CM or NMC or somewhere else.

Often the clean square/rectangle looks much better than some random geometric shape

I saw a triangular mod that left me stunned, bob! After 6 square/rectangular case mods, it pushed me into new directions. You are right, a lot of geometric shapes, specially random, are well, unpleasant. However mathematicians say that the sphere is perfection, go figure!

Up to now, for me it is the hardest shape (or variations of it) to mod but I think I have to keep it up until I get it right. One day that will happen and I hope you know that the world is round, not square, haha!

Thanks for commenting!

Yes, I agree that there are some few mods and cases that are just stunning. However, the majority, such as the lian li pc-888, are just horrendous. Sure, the Dubai hotel was amazing, but the case designed after it looked like complete crap imo.
Well, bob, the Lian Li 888 is sort of weird I agree and not for everyone. Maybe what a reviewer said sums it up:

For the dorks who like ‘em bigger and bluer, here’s the Lian-Li PC-888, a fantastically oversized PC case that’s ready to hold all sorts of powerful nerdery inside.

Note the work "dorks". Does it still mean what it used to? Been out of the States for a while and I know that somethings went in meaning from one thing to another, hehe.

I've seen pics of the Dubai Hotel but a mod? Wld appreciate a link to see what was done.

Thnx!
