Hi Remonster,

I agree 100%!!! I think Intel is going down the path of RAMBUS... Remember that mess?? They had to back off once DDR got going. They seemed shocked that they couldn't get the public to go along and buy that expensive and hot running memory. Not to mention AMD kicked their butts in the cpu game..

Intel will realize again, that they do not control the market place. "We" the consumers do...

Take care, :-)

If they do this, they sign their own death warrant for the high-end CPUs, especially for those like us that know what Intel is doing.

i have 384MB rambus on my old machine
lol

but tis very true
I dont see how it will cool better except for that cold air sinks, but in a case with the air being refreshed like every half minute.... not a big deal
does the power supply fans blow air onto it as well as the heatsink fan?

even though im not a fan of intel, and their whole "conroe vs fx60" thing, they are pushing towards the server type designs with the micro and picobtx..i like this idea very much, small pc's and better cooling, you wont have to do anything but change your fan, case and other perephernials(SP?).. if you dont like the small pc idea you can always get the normal BTX with the same case design, just different mobo placement for more effecient cooling, this is a very true document, the current mobo posture we are using wasnt designed for such high temperatures on select dies that we are getting at this moment...i mean some cpu's are made to push upto 70c!. Theres nothing wrong with this idea, imo i like it very much.

well the micro is made to be put "sideways" in normal computer terms, or the server type design where many can be stacked, while the normal "BTX" is still a PC box design carried out today..so the dimensions are quiet different.

I'm not a gamer so this 6600LE is perfect for my needs. It's fanless which I like and can drive two monitors which I also use. So I kinda like it although it probably makes gamers cringe I wonder if I got a 2nd one and run it with SLI if it would actually be decent?
