Is this ok to run on my mobo?http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227225. ANd would a 2x1G be better than a 2x512?

If it uses Samsung UCCC chips, then no, it might not work with your motherboard. Sometimes an A8N will work with UCCC, sometimes it won't. The Crucial is a much safer bet if you can find it, because its always Micron chips. Infineon chips are fine for an A8N as well, but memory manufacturers seem to favour UCCC

The 1GB Platinum Rev 2 use TCCD which are fine. I have seen many reviews from people running both the 1 and 2 GB sets with that same motherboard just fine, but since they aren't in the approved list there is always that chance. I am planning on getting the 2 GB set for my build. I believe they use the Ifineon chips
