Hey everybody!

Sorry for the delayed reply. Had an issue with amazon concerning the HX1000.

Anyways, thought I would post a few teasers for you all!

A front view

Shot of the bottom compartment....empty
Planning on mounting the radiator here, using velcro. Havent decided on the top support yet...

Shot of the motherboard tray. One of those fans will be removed, a fill port added to that mesh, last fan cable sleeved, and the 5770 will get the water treatment once I order the GPU block.

And the EK block is already mounted Mounting it was soooo easy. EK = <3

An angle shot of the internals....Hey! Get out of the shot Java book!

...might paint the midplate flat black...not sure yet

Also going to drill some holes in the midplate for water tubes and cable routes

And a to...GET OUT OF THE SHOT JAVA BOOK!

...

Top view

Now thinking about it...I might paint all the silver parts flat black...I like that color....

More coming soon!

Nice work dude! I have a similar setup going. What plate did you use in the block? You need to get that NB underwater as well! That biga$$ rad for the CPU is overkill! Also, instead of painting the silver black, you could go carbon fiber Check out my build log in my sig to see what it looks like!

I wasnt able to find a NB block for my board o.O
Do you have a suggestion for the NB block?

I plan on adding waterblocks for the video cards as well, hence the radiator setup. I decided instead to go with a triple down below, and I plan on adding another triple later

And I would do carbon fiber, but a can of rustoleum universal flat black spray paint was a lot cheaper XD

Actually the DI-NOC film is not too pricey man! For your NB you should see if they make something like this guy:

http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.c...id=2514&page=3

Perhaps one of the universal blocks would cover the NB only?

Hmm. I did see a couple universal blocks on performance-pcs. I'll have to see which one fits my board. I wish there was a full coverage block though T_T

Makes me want to get the Asus Crosshair IV

UPDATE TIME!!

Surprisingly, I got a lot done this week. A good bit of sleeving, got everything mounted, everything is wired up, and almost ready to go

/*****************
* TANGENT BOX *
*****************/

Because of insurance and car taxes coming in September and October, I've had to put a major cap on my budget. Here's what I plan to swap after I save some money:

Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair IV or Gigabyte 890FX-UD7
Memory: Mushkin Enhanced Ridgeback x 2 (8GB total)
PSU: Corsair HX1000
Vid Card: Another 5770 or upgrade to the 58XX series. Not sure yet
HDD: Add another OCZ Vertex SSD and RAID 0

Estimated total: $850

....might take a while xD

/*****************
* END TANGENT BOX *
*****************/

Before any mods were made, we needed to strip her down

Nudity

So the first thing I needed to do was remove one of the top-mounted fans and add a fill port. Simple, right?

ABSOLUTELY.

The mesh on the TJ07 was so easy to drill through. One hit score

And the old a$$ file set that I used to shape the hole a bit

But....notice that red blob in the first picture?

That's the fillport

To maintain the black/silver theme, I decided to paint it

Painted ^-^

The inner part is still red. I didn't want paint chips coming off into my fluid

That's all for last week's update!

TODAY'S UPDATE!!

The Yate Loon medium speed fans came in today from performance-pcs! <3

Bare, unsleeved ugliness!

To save a little money, I opted to have them leave the wires stock and unsleeved. Brought the fans out to $3.95 a fan!

So, after snipping off the molex power adapters...

That's FurryLetter sleeving right there AMAZING SLEEVING.

He gave me an awesome deal on 30' rolls of the Clean Cut, and even gave me some extra heatshrink! Great guy

And yes, I am one of those sleeving guys that uses a lighter

And finally, fitting them to the radiator

And everything in the TJ07:

At this point I am not very happy with the wires from my PSU. I messed up the sleeving big time a few months ago and decided to strip the sleeving from it completely. I greatly regret that >.<

I did notice, however, that I forgot to drill holes in the midplate for the tubing

I'll take care of that later

But I am currently looking for about 6 90 degree elbow fittings. Anybody got a good deal on some?

More to come once I get the fittings!

Hey everybody!

Wanted to post a little quickie. Here's a quick list of what I plan to do to this build once funds start rolling in:

Add in 4GB Mushkin Enhanced RAM
Add another Radeon HD 5770. CF of course
Sleeve my PSU
Get some hard drive adapters

Thanks for watching!

Power Supply Success!

So if anybody had seen my posts about my power supply wires, with some staples and a pair of pliers, I finally got the wires out of their plastic housing to be sleeved!

Of course, I ran out of sleeving after sleeving the 8-pin power connector, but I just ordered 50 feet worth of clean cut from FurryLetters, so I should be able to finish the day the rest gets here

Here's some pics:

Bare wires (almost XD):

The 8 pin power connector finished:

A trick I learned from a fellow OCNer:
Large piece of heatshrink around all the wires at the bottom makes for tighter bunches, thus cleaner looks

More coming soon!

Nice to see your log. This is going to be me, kind of, very shortly! Keep going and posting pics

Looks great so far! Though, at first, I thought this was going to be an oil submerged rig...

Absolutely try to AVOID using 90* fittings! They will limit your flow by a lot (something like each 90* fitting equates to an extra 5 feet of tubing). If you can, opt for a 45* fitting. It'll help you out a lot.

Everything looks great, good job! Your sleeving work was masterful. My cables always come out looking like the pre-sleeved PSU's.. Junk.
