Radiator or Heater Core

The title is pretty self-explanatory...which would you guys recommend? I can get the heater core of course A LOT cheaper from my local autozone but which is the most efficiant? And why? Also, what cfm would you recommend on this, of course without using one that's 50 or 60 dB.

I would recomend the heatercore, if you are really tight on performance, you can get 2, and then expriment with it, I have a '71 heatercore, and I also built my own to go along with it (20' of copper tubing)

So you're saying a heater core is a better performer? I'm not tight on cash, so that's not my problem, I'm just looking for the better performance.

That is correct. Helps remove the heat better with air going through the radiator

From my understanding, the heatercores' have fins that are farther apart. This is better if you want to use low CFM fans. I may be wrong though, that's just a general trend I've seen with heatercores I have replaced on various jeeps I have worked on.

Definately a heater core. They're generally much larger than radiators specifically made for computers. I've got two heater cores efficiently cooling a 437W TEC. I've seen many reveiws of this particular TEC not being cooled by computer radiators. They switched to heater cores and temps dropped dramatically.

Heater cores although not pretty are very efficent coolers or heaters because they have a large surface area and because the tubes are made of very thin copper.
