You could go with the 1156 route if you wanted. Not as much power as 1366, but if you don't plan to play too demanding games, it's fine. I think the 1156 was voted best bang for the buck several times. Let us know if you want to go with the i5, or with the i7.

i5 is best bang for the buck and plenty of power for the most recently games.
i7 is a little more pricey and will last you longer in the long run.
but most important is getting a good video card.
that's what really gives your system the gaming power.
i would add up and check your budget and look for best video card you can get and price everything else after that.
