Distilled water, thats it, unless you want to use the expensive commercial fluids. No reason to run alcohol.

Alcohol is alcohol.. It depends on the plastic for if it will eat through it..
And as fstfrddy said distilled water with a touch of antifreeze is imo the only way to go.

I've seen a LOT of threads on this issue. The only way it MIGHT be better is to use it to lower the freezing point of the system. The heat transfer is not better than water, despite the fact that it evaporates and makes your hand feel really cold, lol

You cant run regular water in negative temps, lol otherwize your tubes freeze.. The best is Prestone De-icer for subzero cooling (good till -34F, less toxic than Dex-cool of the antifreeze

Well I want to use the alcohol for sub zero temps using dry ice to cool it so I mean seriously asking now would everclear ( very hard liquor ) be my best option as it will not eat through my plastic hoses and such?? I have seen other dry ice runs here but most of them seem like a very temporary solution. By dropping it in a reservoir full of alcohol... or maybe something else with a very very low freezing point, I would be able to use it more long term. Any other suggestions would be appreciated in this matter thanks in advance!!

yeah dry ice is typically -109 degrees fahrenheit so I don't think the prestone deicer will work

ohh. your gonna have to go with some big heavy duty stuff. I recommend this . You might also want to look for Marine grade antifreeze, because automotive is usually only good for -35F, this stuff is rated -64F. That hard Alky your talking about would work too, needs to be atleast 180 proof, preferablly 190+

wait, yea that link aint any good for you... definity the Liquor or something like 3M Fluorinert (expensive as hell)
