Is there really no way to overclock a ....???

Thread Starter
Looking at everything I have read,is there really no way to overclock a Pentium III-M in a dell latitude c400? Isnt there some way to bypass the fsb lock? Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction?

Nope, the only way to do it is a BIOS flash and since Dell uses proprietary hardware, you'll be hardpressed to find one that'll work for you. You could try software (Clockgen, CPUFSB, Speedfan) however overclocking a notebook really isn't recommended since the cooling hardware inside isn't meant for added heat.

I agree unless you really need the laptop for portability then I would sell it and build yourself a nice desktop. Or you could always have both?
