Driver issues to the max.

Thread Starter
is there any programs that can scan a computer to find problem drivers? my computer is running xp home sp2 on an intel 2.4 processor from a few yrs ago, w/ 512 ddr ram and an asus p4pe motherboard.

my video card is an ati 9800 from 4 yrs ago, RCA tv out on it if that helps. as far as drivers go, i dno if there's any specifics that i can list for you, but i won't bother just listing all my drivers right now for sake of a shorter read for you guys.

any how, help me please. p's.

Posisbly the reason your not getting any help is the title of your thread. Try changing the title to soemthing a bit more catching like Help with driver issues or soemthing along those lines. As for your issue with the drivers the best thing I can suggest is go to start->control pannel->system->hardware-> device manager and try updating all drivers to there most recent form.

You can also try googling a solution as this does involve a bit more work on your part but usually turns up something good
Another option is reformatting although probly not the most fun

Also if you include a bit more detailed description of the problem im sure one of the more experienced guys on here could figure it out.

BTW welcome to the forums

well i hope my other questions come w/ better solutions. not like i expected a miracle cure, but u kno, when you expect most the userbase to a forum like this to be half a+ certified you'd expect some response. more information? well i'm not sure what else you need to kno, but im sure i would have included it the first time had I known it would be useful.

and as far as the title of my thread goes, how much more do i need to spell it out? what would help? asterix's on either side? i'm sorry if i'm coming off as hostile, but this frustration was caused by the rediculous ratio of views to replies to this thread. and what a reply.

driver issues to the max. it's not like i'm talking about donkey's in the thread. unless you are trying to say that some of the userbase may be foreign, and slang may not communicate proficiently what i am trying to get across, then i understand.

i suppose what i'm asking is, what DO YOU need to kno to help me?

Well first thing is, you probably shouldn't have posted this in the Intel CPU's section of the forum. This section of the forum is specifically for Intel CPU's, not drivers and windows questions and such.

Scroll down on the main page and find the Operating Systems section, that's where you should have probably posted this. So most of the people looking in here are probably just looking right over your post cause it has nothing to do with cpu's.

Also, what skillz means is- What is the problem you are having?? What is the issues your computer is having? All you ask for is a program that gets rid of "problem drivers", you say nothing about what the issue is. What he's saying is, tell us what the heck the problem is, and maybe someone can help . I don't know of any softwares that do what you're asking, I just reformat every now and again to have things fresh. Are you wanting someone to look around and find one for you? Maybe someone around here knows of one, but you can find one quite easily I'm sure if you spend a few minutes and look.....google
