Because you only have $90 days to do it

The best way to do any kind of upgrade is sell the existing card you have and buy another with those funds. Hell if I wanted to do eVGA's step-up, I would have to pay their price for a 7900GT minus the $300 I paid, which is probably over $400, maybe $450, not to mention you have to pay for shipping your current card to eVGA ($8), pay for shipping the new card back to you ($8-$15), and taxes on the MSRP for the new card ($30-$40), in total you're spending $50+ in shipping an taxes alone.

Sell your 6800GS and use that money and put it toward a new card, you'll get the card faster and not worry about when you'll get the new one since if you go the Sell yourself, buy online route. You always have a card even while selling, since once someone commits to buy, you use that money and buy the new card online and your downtime is only a couple days rather than weeks

If you can get $150 for that 6800, I have a 7800GT that I need to sell ($230) and that's your around $75 that you would pay extra and you get a hell of a better card
