According to recent roadmaps, Conroe - along with its mobile sibling, 'Merom' - is due to debut in Q3 2006. DigiTimes' moles suggest we should look to July 2006 for a tighter timeframe. The 965 chipsets were due to debut in Q2, but if the report is correct, they will now appear in Q3, in July.

EDIT: BTW... that thing looks quite pricy. Not as bad as a X2, though.

LOL, seriously......the "search" feature is right up top. Type in conroe and run a search, you'll like 500 results

Pricey? The lowest price Conroe is supposed to be in the low $200s??? How is that Pricey? The highest one will be like $400 or so, but that is also going to be blazingly fast. Considering that they appear to be on the same pricing as the current 9xx series chips yet much faster, I think the price is awesome. The only downside will be that to use Conroe you will have to buy a new board, so in that way it could be considered pricey........

That link of yours is from 2005....

Intel has not yet giving more information then to say that Conroe is going better than expected. Originally release was September, but the moved it up to July. That was last word from Intel.
