Nvidia/Speedfan Users

Thread Starter
I ve got a 6800 and I use speedfan for temp monitoring on my cpu and case, and ati tools for my gpu temps, the problem is, speed fan always shows the nvidia temp as being exactly 10* lower than what ati and the nividia console show it to be? Anyone else notice this? I just assume that the temp in the nvidia console and ati tools is the correct temp, but it would be interesting to know where speed fan is getting its from.

Go into your nV settings and see what it says there.

when I said nvidia console, I meant nv settings. sorry. Bu, in the faq there was a post saying that speedfan will read the cards temp, it is doing that, what I m asking is, why is speed fan showing the temp at 27* when nv settings and ati tool shows it at 37*? Speedfan always shows it at 10* lower. WHY?

I couldn't tell you that; it's never happened to me. Are you checking them at the same time? Can you get me a screen (or two)?

Yeah i had that problem, i just set the temp offset in speedfan to read it as 50.c instead of 40.c

OK. so I m not the only one, but which one is correct? I would assume the nv settings and ati temp, but why is speedfan reading it wrong? Maybe itsnt wrong, maybe thats the correct temp?
