corsair. stable for overclocking?

i got some corsair value ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145440
it comes at 2.5 CAS latency could i put it to 2 and it would still be fine?

It is stable but didn't overclock for me very well. If you can save some more for non-value ram then I would do so.

I tried putting it to case 2.0 and it just freaked out. I got it to go about 200mhz 2.5 3-3-7 stable but nothing much better than that.

im not too sure - but its good RAM - i ran mine at 240mhz at CAS2.5 for ages and it was fine

I dont see why it shouldnt - if it isnt you could always up the DDR voltage

that ram does overclock quite well, but if your going for a serious overclock, get some corsair XMS ram or another make (just not the value stuff)

dont change it to cas2, it wont like it
