I have built a HTPC with some cheaper parts (new socket A Sempron rig) and was running Windows Media Center and have converted it back to XP, media center would crash and seems to just not be working correctly. XP on the other hand was installed and was perfect first time. Gees thumbs up for XP Am I the first.......LOL

For the TV tuner, I recommend the PVR-500 MCE. It allows you to record a show and watch one at the same time.

You may also want to get a 9550-based card, since it's DirectX9 compatiable

Also, Lite-ons are knowen to ethier make a really good drives or REALLY bad drives. You'll get a good one if you're lucky, but I wouldn't risk it

Okay, good advice. However the other Hauppage is almost twice as much and if I may not even need that functionality. Other thing: Are you saying that the 9200 series is not DX9 compatible even though the 9500 series is? If so, I'll probably get your suggested card but another thing: I've never heard of "Jetway" video cards, but I have heard of ASUS.

Okay, what mobo would y'all reccomend for a 478 proc (P4 2.4GHz)? I don't nessecarily need good OCing features but I do need it to be reiliable. Integrated GFX isn't needed but I do want an AGP slot. I need at least 2 PCI slots, but 3 would be nice. Any SATA is good, but I would like to have it.
