Help with 4 gigs ram in XP Pro 32 bit

Thread Starter
I just built my new pc. I own a graphic design/video editing company. I went with 4 gigs of ram becuase i was sick of getting out of memory errors in Photoshop and After Effects. I've enabled the 3/gb switch but is my system using all 4 gigs? and how should i setup my pagefile if any? I have 4 HDD's so I can move my pagefile around. I have one 80g for xp and programs, one 80g with a 40 and two 20 gig partitions one partition in scratch disk (adobe pagefile) and the others are for file rarely accessed during editing. Then i have an 80g for graphic files and a 250 for video files. What would be the best way to setup my memory. I have also been thinking of overclocking my d930 and 6800xt. Any suggestions????

Thanks in advance.

the only thing i would recomend to you is upgrading that gfx card to the 7900 or x1900 and mailing that to the poor 15 year old buy here

ohh then leave the page file to recomended

i was planning on either getting another of the same 6800xt's for sli or upgrading in the near future. I ran out of money and figured it would work good enough for what i do. I don't play games.

Windows won't use page-file unless the ram is out of space.

For me, I don't turn it completely off, instead I use a software "ram-drive" which I put my pagefile on. So, it's always ram
