Copper tubing and your common Fan

Thread Starter
Hey, been here not too long now and I tried searching for this idea, but to no avail.

I'm curious if anyone has any experience with building your own air conditioning unit.

To be more precise, just a bunch of copper tubing, a bucket of water, and an oscillating fan.

Here's a link of what I'd like to replicate.

It's still winter here in NJ, and today it was 70 degrees (F). I only loathe what the summer brings. No AC here either. Looking fora cheap solution.

Anyone ever tried this sort of thing? It doesn't seem too hard.
