AC's cooler is alright but water is still better for a GTX 470 http://www.geeks3d.com/20100622/inno...-with-furmark/

Also putting togather a water cooling system would be a lot more fun than screwing in screws to a back of a card!

If that cooler really is made by AC it's a lousy one that was not good enough to be sold as a separate cooler (reference cooler).
That's why they aren't adding it to their list.

They made my 8800GTX go from 85-92 down to 54-62c (idle-load)
And the same goes for the GTX260 but the GTX260 idles at 45c ATM.
And and did I tell you that I use a resistor on those AC fans to make them run slower and more silent?

You can overclock an i7 to 4-4.2Ghz just as easily on water and air. Now, the GTX 470 will hit 90C easily with a high overclock. Like I said, it benefits the video cards more to be water cooled so you run these clocks without hitting 100C on them like others have.

SLI

Good luck with those clocks on air

But what do you know WTH Bot, you have an H50

Well I think my Phenom hit a brick wall and even with water it won't run any higher than 3.76ghz and the Venomous-X is already silent.

So an EK block, the koolance res/pump and that XSPC seem alright to cool a GTX 470?

Yea that should be fine. AMDs don't benefit a whole lot from water as some can hardly run 4 Ghz. i7s may benefit if you want to run 4.4 Ghz+ with HT on.

My temps got cut in half on my 470s by water cooling them.

Look good?

The dual rad looks like it would cover my tubing holes is there a way to push the rad away from the case?
You can go to a hardware store and find brackets for that.

I'd say you would need to go external with your radiator and I don't know how you feel about that.
Waterblock=aftermarket cooler. In case you didn't know.

If you get that, it comes with a pci pass-thru meaning you won't need to use the wholes in your case and you can run the tubing through a pci slot.
