overclocking 3700 Sandy

ok, ive got an overclock of 2.75ghz right now at a 1:1 ratio. 250FSB, 4xHTT, 1.5vcore 2.8vdimm, 3-3-3-8 timings and i cant get past 19 minutes in prime. can anyone help me out?

Run through the FAQ on the A*N MB and check the BIOS version (use latest) and settings... Vcore, Vdimm, Memtimings will all play apart.

well i got past the 17 min mark after updating the chipset drivers and increasing vcore to 1.525 but now it stopped at 23min. could it be my memory?

Could be any number of things which is why working the Mem, CPU, MB individually is the best way to go.... also look at the PSU... as you will really need 26A on the +12V rail to support your setup esp. with that Ultra.

i got 2 +12 rails: 1 is 15amps, 2 is 17. so i got 32 amps but its only a 450watt psu. oh and, i just ran a mem. divider of 333mhz and kept a 250fsb, so now my memory is running at 200mhz with stock timings. im testing if its prime stable right now. would it be faster to run memory at 200 with stock timings and 1T, or overclocked at 500DDR with looser timings (3-3-3-8) 2T

200 @ 2.5-3-3-7 (1T) should theoretically be faster than 250 @ 3.3.3.8 (2T). Are you using 4 X 512MB DDR?

ive got them at 200 @ 2-3-3-6 (1T) 2.8vdimm
my cpu is at 255x11 w/ 1.525vcore
running stable so far
