that should be fine, but nabbing 100 feet is a little cheaper too... give you more to practice with.

For me, 50 feet wasn't quite enough to do the 24-pin and 8-pin. 150' total should be enough for everything, though.

200' got me through a 24pin, 8 pin, two 6 pin, two 6+2 pin, and a couple SATA cables with just about 50' left over.

So I went ahead and ordered Purple, Kelly Green and Charcoal Black to sleeve my rig. In the mean time I decided to practice on an old ATX power supply I have sitting around. Its pretty poor as far as the heat shrink consistency goes but I was doing it a single wire at a time (pull it, sleeve it, shrink it and put it back in). When I go to do my new PSU I'll label all the wires, pull them, and then sleeve and shrink them side by side to maintain consistency. The staple trick works well as long as you make sure when you bend the staple the ends are the same length. In the end I went with two separate staples bent into a "L" shape. That worked much easier and wasn't so hard on my fingers.

I also came up with this to help dispense the paracord. Its much better than trying to pull it from a pile on the floor.

I like that idea of using the pitcher like that. Very ingenious.

I would advise cutting your heatshrink ahead of time so them are all the same length. Makes it easier than cutting them one at a time. Most people find 5/8" to 3/4" works well for them. You might want to cut 2 or 3 of each of those lengths and try them to see which you find easiest to work with.

I'll definitely be doing that. In fact I've found cutting the heat shrink the width of 3 slats in the bamboo place mat in the picture comes out at a very nice 5/8".

Where do I get the heat shrink?

Ordered mine today - awesome tip on this stuff!

I'm sleeving 2 psu's for project in my sig. What a great price.

200 ft white
50 ft Kelly Green
50 ft Red
50 ft Royal Blue

This cracked me up though - From their site - Please Note! We are experiencing Parachute cord shortages at this time.

It would be funny to sit in that meeting as they try to figure out why there is such a spike in random colors of paracord! heh

Would this heatshrink work well with this sleeving? I'm looking for the absolute tightest fit possible.
