If it is not stable at 166 X 13 then you might be better of to clear your cmos and let default values set.

Test again for stability.

If you can change multipliers than you may have an unlocked CPU which means it is probably not an XP 3000+. I wasn't able to change the multiplier on my old 3000+ Barton.

ya i duno if its a 3000+ either. im pretty sure its an XP tho.. ill probly just upgrade it anyway, this **** gives me too much trouble. i put it to defaults (100x13) and it runs ok. so iguese its a 1.3ghz

CPU-Z says it is a Barton. There is no Barton created that ran at 100FSB. But as long as it is working stably. Can't you test it at 133MHz?

To dig up this thread, has there been a significant difference in ability to OC one proc over the other? I have the 400MHz CPU, and am wondering if it has the same, worse, or better chance of OCing compared to the 333MHz CPU. Does anyone know how high the 400MHz CPUs have been stably OCed?
