I heard the Big Typhoon...

Thread Starter
Yeah, I heard it (the BT) works just as good as watercooling, is that true? And for when they're talking about ambient temperature for watercooling...I don't really get it, aren't water cooling suppose to be cooler than ambient temperature? I've never experience watercooling because I'm scare it will destroy my motherboard, I'm thinking of building my real first PC to overclock***off topic.

The BT is probably as good as low end commercial W/C kits but will not touch custom setups. And no, watercooling does not cool below ambient unless you have some kind of chiller in there. There are claims however that evaporative coolers like the simple bong coolers can get slightly below ambient.

ya the bt is as good as cheap commercial WC setups, but are no chance to a good custom setup.... and typically WC setups run just a few degrees above ambient temp.

They're pretty much neck and neck at stock, but the 9500 costs 26% more, and still runs about a degree warmer than the Big Typhoon.

You forget that Zalmans are supposed to be quiet, not nessecarily high-performance.

Exactly that!

The only area they seem to be steering away from the "Non-Performance" aspect in GPU cooling...
