Looking for Website Codebase (Kinda)

Thread Starter
I am trying to start a site in which people can upload artwork they have created and such and then share it with others basicly. I was wondering if there is a codebase out there that has something that will have user registration, and allow uploading, and moderation of the uploads and after the uploads are modded will appear in something like a "latest uploads" section or something of the nature where people can view the lastest things that people have uploaded.

Basicly, what I am trying to do is make some forums for discussion (I think I can handle the forums myself) and then just having some registration and database for a little security, and tracking, and then just have some sort of upload, upload acceptance, and then have the lastest uploads put in a list or something.

If anyone can help me out that would be awsome.

I use a codebase called coppermine for hosting my pictures. It is a very configurable image gallery. Takes a little while to get used to, but I like it alot.

Thanks for the info, but it seems that all it can be is a photogallery. I was looking for something that could be integrated with a "regular" website where I could just have the lastest pictures on the mainpage or something and then not have any selection of diffrent catagorys or anything like that, and just have a database by artist. Where you can browse what artists have uploaded and see their work..

Im not sure if im explaining myself fully, do you have any ideas that might be better with the idea stated above?

EDIT: please disregard the above post, one of the things im stuck on now is a css file in which I cant figure out where it is setting the background color, I can attach the css file if needed, i have tried setting everything to black, still nothing.

I remember seeing a few quick artist galleries done with a free CMS like PostNuke. Obviously, PN isn't a good solution for anything, but something like Xoops or Joomla may work. I'll keep looking around.
