Even at 1920x1200 the 768mb is even better with everything turn on. I think 1920x1200 and below the 768mb is a sweet deal. What do you think?

I completely agree but why is everybody pushing for 1GB?

Just wait till a coupon or wait for open box. No one ever has to buy brand new. Waiting allow for future release of more stable drivers for higher overclocks and etc.

I personally would wait.

Let the other people do some benchmarks and etc. As far as i know not all 460 allow voltage control......
By the time, I upgrade my monitor it will be 2 -3 generations later.

Yea..the waiting game

I believe that they definitely help too. But how much of a difference will that show up when playing with a 1680 x1050 monitor?

:: Because their going by benchies, they see 1GB beats it in 2-5 FPS and they say get it. To be honest at your rez, 1GB would make no difference, unless you play high demanding memory games. EX: GTAIV.

:: None, see above.

You know what? You are absolutely right. no reason to pay ~20 to 30 more dollars for 1-4 FPS.

Now I have to decide MSI's gtx 460(768MB) or eVGA gtx460(768MB) is cooler and quieter. Because my goal for the gtx 460 instead of 4890 has always been reducing noise.

Wow... where do you get your news from? o.O Changing out the heatsink from a stock cooler to a better air/water cooler is easily better than buying a card that's considered quieter, yet is a downgrade. Just look around. It's no different from taking off your CPU heatsink and fan to be honest.

If you are keeping it for less then a year get the 768MB. Many games don't need more then 512MB considering most high end GPUs have 1GB max memory.

I would get the EVGA, Get the AR model for the Lifetime Limited Warranty.

Newegg has the same card with a 2 year warranty for $20 less. 2 years is probably enough for me.
