WoW FPS

Thread Starter
Hi,
I have been trying various setting tweaks in World Of Warcraft but none seem to really increase my FPS, my pc spec is:

2.8 ghz Intel P4 Processor
1024mb DDR RAM
Ati radeon 9800 256mb

At everything to its lowest settings in WoW i get around 10 fps and when i have everything medium i get around 17-20fps, and at high around 15 fps, i have tryed enabling/disabling vertical sync but nothing really seems to be helping.
I have heard of people getting a lot more fps on Pc's around the same spec as mine.
Does anyone know how to really increase my FPS?

Thanks,SpudGun

Well you shouldn be having a problem with the 9800 have you updated your drivers as this could be your problem..Also please fill out your system specs in your user control panel as this helps us help you. Before you install a newer set of drivers get a program called ''Driver cleaner''. First unintsall all of your ati related drivers then use driver cleaner to get rid of any left over traces of the driver.

Edited my signature, not very detailed though.
Yes i do have the latest ATI Drivers installed, installed them yesterday.

EDIT: Think i might have fixed it, was in Bios settings today and seen that main graphic port or something was PCI, changed it to AGP now getting around 30fps and 20fps when lots of fighting is going on, all settings maxed out

Thats good, I would reduce the terrain distance however unless you do major PVP in WSG, AV and AB where they are very useful. Decreasing the view distance will really help with performance especially in IronForge
