Dual Monitors; Combining Gaming + Browsing

Alright so I have 2 monitors hooked up to the same video card. I use the 25" one for gaming and movies while the 19" one for basic web browsing and schoolwork. The question I have is is it possible to play a full screen game on the 25" monitor while also browsing the internet or whatnot on the other monitor? I've tried it but whenever I click anything in the second monitor the game minimizes even though I get my normal desktop display on my 19". My settings are set to extended display and I'm guessing that's the reason this happens but are there any settings I can change to make this possible. Basically having the 2 monitors be independent of each other.

Guess not.

I hope someone finds a way; I'd love to be able to game on one monitor and read a walk through on the other.

You don't want to extend your display, you want them independent. control panel, Hardware and sound, setup multiple displays,or could be under you Nvidia control panel, make one display your Primary.
If you can't do that download Ultramon and try that, it is free to try but even when the trial runs out your settings stay the way you had them.
I am typing this on one monitor and watching fullscreen movie on another

I went to setup multiple displays but the options I get are extended display, display desktop on 1, display desktop on 2, and duplicate these displays. The only thing that concerns making a display primary is if I extend the displays but then I get the minimizing problem. Also I'm not using an Nvidia card so I don't have the option of their control panel and CCC pretty much is useless. I'd rather not have to use a 3rd party software to do this, is there anything else?

well you can run it in a window on one screen (borderless if possible) and have it the biggest resolution possible on one screen and a monitor on the other screen. not great but it works in a pinch

Display desktop on 1 only displays the desktop on the monitor marked 1 and pretty much shuts down the other monitor. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
