you should have no prob with high detail, HDR will lag you, so you might want that off and you can probably run 4x AA and 8x AF with a good framerate

You'll have no problems running CSS with that rig. Maybe not quite max settings but just about.

CSS will fly on that system. That game is one of the most efficient I have seen lately.

I have a similar system...(my overclock gets me to a 3200+) and it runs fine on all high 1280x1024 with 8xAA and 16xAF....HDR does lag alot. Some custom maps also cause me to drop to about 20 fps.

Yeah I have a smiliar rig as you guys (a little weaker) and I run 1280x1024 DX9 with everything High settings and AA 2x, AF 4x, with NO HDR or else it'll crawl. With these settings I get over 70fps average in the Stress Test. As Glueeater said, custom maps such as Militia And de_nuke can be very laggy on the fps (I don't know why, I thought it was just my rig). But every other map just flies.

HDR: high dynamic range lighting

its like simulating sunshine kinda... youll see its quite awesome really, but can be annoying.

and i think if you have a good OC on you 6800 you should be able to play with everything maxed
