So ive decided that im addicted to building these things after my first one that i mostly watched being put together i wanted to make a really cool way overkill water cooled rig with some computer stuff in it... lol here is my list of parts to purchase over the next couple of months what do you guys think

While that certainly looks nice, i really don't think quad-sli is worth it. I'd say stick to three gpu's at the most, but of course, if you just want to go all out, noone should stop you. But there's a fine line between an awesome build and a waste of money ..

lol yay for waste of money... lol i honestly dont think ill go for the quad sli but the graphics are gonna be almost teh last thing i purchase cause i figure by then there is gonna be a new better one out....

Well, the appearance of the gtx460 based on the revised gf104 chip 'could' suggest, that a gtx475 or 485 will be released later this year, as it was seen with the 200-series. A fermi equivalent to the gtx295 has also come a little closer to being actually possible with the "new" gf104 chip, so that might be of interest as well ..

yea of the people ive talked to the gigabyte board is a terrible whats ur take on that

Uhm, i've never had the pleasure of trying the x58-platform, and the only gigabyte board i've had was crap, but that wasn't their fault, since it was an OEM from packard bell (don't ask). Although, if i'm not mistaken, gigabyte has the lowest failure rate of all motherboard manufacturers, so that's definately a plus.

How is this board supposed to be terrible?

well apparently they burn up easily and the service is terrible idk ive been evga all my life i wanted to try new stuff but i was quickly taken aside and slapped in teh face sorta speak lol

i suggest u spend a little and get yourself a ssd
i mean with such a neat pc and config only a ssd could do justice
it will definitely be worth it
