Spending that much on RAM is a waste unless you're buying 8GB's. $120 max on RAM will do you perfect and even includes the Mushkin Redline and Blackline series which are Cas 6 and Cas 7 at 1600Mhz respectively.

Note: the above statement applies to dual channel kits only.

mushkin redline and blackline use PSC chips which are crap for amd. you would be better of getting some kingston value crap with elpida chips.

From what I've read, either you'll have a problem or you won't.

There's people here that have taken their Mushkin's over 1600Mhz and some that haven't.

Anyway, OP, if you want the best resource for knowledge about Mushkin RAM, ask the Mushkin rep here: http://www.overclock.net/intel-memor...support-4.html

I'm using G Skill and I assume they are good quality? I wouldn't spend over 140 for 4 gigs dual channel. I'm keeping my timing at 7-8-7-24-1t. I switched from 2t to 1t if that sounds good?

Those G.Skills are very good quality. It's not necessary to spend a whole bunch for quality ram. $120 will get you what you need and more.
