Just testing. RivaTuner is not supporting this card yet.

It doesn't have to be VIVO as you can always get a TV Tuner and use the Video In on it.

Wow, what a sexy video card. Its too bad video cards point downward in the case.........that would be sweet if you could see that card thru a clear side panel.

GDDR3 Data Rate is 2 X the Effective clock so 2 X 870MHz = 1740MHz

700/1740

This has never made sense to me as heat rises and the cards should be face upward to allow the heat dissipation a riser effect.

Nice card Ropey. I sold my eVGA 7800GTX 512 and got the eVGA 7900 GT CO for $300 (now they're selling for $350 and above). Here are some 3DMark05 benches to compare. Memory looks the same to me but the core is hindered mostly by voltage I think.

Stock OC (500/750) with CPU @ 2 GHz
3DMark05 Score = 8370
CPU Score = 4650
GT1 - Return To Proxycon 34.7 fps
GT2 - Firefly Forest 25.9 fps
GT3 - Canyon Flight 41.8 fps
CPU Test 1 2.2 fps
CPU Test 2 4.5 fps

Software OC (555/875) with CPU @ 2 GHz
3DMark05 Score = 8825
CPU Score = 5431
GT1 - Return To Proxycon 35.2 fps
GT2 - Firefly Forest 26.7 fps
GT3 - Canyon Flight 46.8 fps
CPU Test 1 3.0 fps
CPU Test 2 4.4 fps

Stock OC (500/750) with CPU @ 2.75 GHz
3DMark05 Score = 8720
CPU Score = 6402
GT1 - Return To Proxycon 37.4 fps
GT2 - Firefly Forest 26.6 fps
GT3 - Canyon Flight 42.6 fps
CPU Test 1 3.0 fps
CPU Test 2 6.1 fps

Software OC (555/875) with CPU @ 2.75 GHz
3DMark05 Score = 9730
CPU Score = 7759
GT1 - Return To Proxycon 41.7 fps
GT2 - Firefly Forest 29.4 fps
GT3 - Canyon Flight 48.1 fps
CPU Test 1 4.4 fps
CPU Test 2 6.1 fps

System Specs:
- DFI LANParty NF4 Expert
- Opteron 146
- 2 x 1GB OCZ Gold Edition PC4000
- EIDE Maxtor 200GB DiamondMax
- Dell 2405FPW
- Windows XP

Special Notes:
- Driver Version 8.3.9.1 (This is what came with the card)
- Test resolution 1024x768 @ 32 bit (only res available for tests in basic version)
- Desktop resolution 1920x1200 @ 32 bit
- Set AA to Application Controlled
- Set AF to Application Controlled
- Set Image Settings to High Performance
- Set all other settings to either Off or lowest setting
- No hardware mods used on the video card
- No software mods or tweaks used on the BIOS, core or memory on the video card.

I used NVTray/NVTweak (http://nvtweak.laptopvideo2go.com/) to OC the video card in Windows Display Properties. I used the Detect Optimal Frequencies option. Then I scaled the core & memory speeds back 5-10MHz to ensure stable testing. That's all I did.

Here are some things I may do in the future:

BIOS mods
http://www.mvktech.net/component/opt...wcat/catid,13/

Volt mods (GTX uses 1.4V while the GT only gets 1.2V)

The eVGA 7900 GT CO is a fine card. Something tells me that with a volt mod you will get very very high clocks.
